Our Story
Missouri Raised. Family Grown.
At Small Batch Farms, we believe the best beef has a story—and ours begins right here in Missouri.
In 2024, husband-and-wife team Donnie and Erika Abbett started Small Batch Farms with a simple vision: raise exceptional beef, care for the land, and give families a better way to know exactly where their food comes from.
What started as a dream has grown, with the help of family and friends, into 140 acres of beautiful Ozark hills and pasture in the heart of Central Missouri. It’s here that we raise our cattle, build our herd, and continue a way of life centered around family, hard work, and respect for the land.
Beef Raised With Purpose
We don’t believe great beef should be rushed or mass-produced.
Our cattle are pasture raised and grain finished, allowing them to spend their time on Missouri pasture while developing the flavor, tenderness, and marbling we want in the beef we serve our own family.
We’re also intentional about the genetics behind our herd. By carefully selecting Angus, Limousin, and Jersey influences, we’re building a herd focused on producing consistently flavorful, high-quality beef.
It’s a hands-on approach that reflects what Small Batch Farms is all about: raising fewer cattle with greater attention to quality.
